Pileated Tail Prop Feeder
Holds four full sized suet cakes. A customer who lives near our area here in Concord inspired us to produce this feeder particularly for Pileated woodpeckers. Experiencing several Pileateds at her smaller suet feeders, she requested that we construct one with a much longer tail prop and more hanging room on the suet cage for these astonishing sixteen to 19-1/2 inch wonders! When we finished the designing changes, we of course asked her to test this new feeder and she gracefully accepted. So, once our woodpecker loving neighbor informed us she found outstanding success with this new pattern we knew we had a hit! Crafted of white pine with vinyl coated steel suet cages, can also be used to contain nesting material for spring birds. Holds 4 suet cakes.
